Edwin Taveras is the founder and creative force behind Dreamville Studios, a photography and filmmaking company he established in 2014 with a passion for capturing moments and turning them into lasting stories.

As a second generation photographer, Edwin’s connection to photography runs deeper than a profession, it’s part of his story. Inspired by the craft from an early age, he developed his own distinctive visual style built around authentic emotion, creative composition, and beautiful, bold, vibrant colors.

At the heart of Edwin’s work is his love for storytelling. Whether he’s documenting an unforgettable celebration, creating a portrait, or directing a film, his goal is always the same: to go beyond simply capturing what something looks like and tell the story of what it felt like.

That passion extends beyond photography. A lifelong admirer of street art and urban culture, Edwin created and directs the SPRAYIN’ SERIES, a collection of documentary style short films that explores the lives, journeys, inspirations, and creative processes of some of his favorite artists. Through SPRAYIN’, Edwin combines his love of filmmaking, art, culture, and storytelling to preserve the voices and stories behind the work.

Since founding Dreamville Studios in 2014, Edwin has continued to evolve as a photographer, filmmaker, and storyteller while staying true to the philosophy that started it all: every person, every moment, and every image has a story worth telling.
